The Orthopedic Institute of New Jersey (OINJ) Congratulates Its Physicians on Prestigious Top Docs Designation

Hackettstown, NJ — September 2017 — The Orthopedic Institute of New Jersey (OINJ) is proud to announce that seven of its physicians have been selected for New Jersey Monthly’s Top Doc of 2017 designation.

Christopher Castro, DO, Frank J. Corrigan, MD, Robert A. DeFalco, Jr., DO, Michael S. Gutkin, MD, Stephen Koss, MD, Paul G. Teja, DO, and Kevin White, DO, have been given this prestigious distinction. Qualifying for this list of doctors is especially meaningful because it is compiled from the results of a peer review questionnaire commissioned by New Jersey Monthly. Every doctor who has been licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey for at least five years is surveyed; the doctors are asked to select the physicians they would choose to treat their own family members.

Board certified orthopedic surgeons DeFalco, Teja, and Koss specialize in sports medicine and treat the shoulder, knee, and hip. Dr. Corrigan has subspecialty certification in surgery of the hand and also treats conditions of the upper extremities. Dr. White specializes in complex foot and ankle surgeries, and Drs. Castro and Gutkin are skilled interventional pain management physicians with expertise in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as spine care.

“We are pleased when our patients like us, feel that they have received outstanding treatment, and recommend us to their friends. It is exceptionally validating — and humbling — to receive this endorsement from our colleagues,” says Dr. DeFalco, who, along with Drs. Castro and Gutkin, has received this honor six times. Dr. Teja has been honored seven times, with Dr. White receiving it for the fifth time, Dr. Koss, for the fourth, and Dr. Corrigan, the first.

A premier center for complete musculoskeletal care, OINJ provides state-of-the-art treatment to patients in Morris, Sussex, and Warren counties, as well as eastern Pennsylvania. The group provides high-level expertise in all facets of orthopedics, including sports medicine, minimally invasive spine care, treatment of upper and lower extremities, rheumatology, and rehabilitation medicine, including regenerative treatments and non-operative therapy for sports injuries. The practice also offers urgent care services and extended hours for orthopedic emergencies at its Roxbury office.
