Michael Markowitz, DO

Michael Markowitz, D.O. is a fellowship trained Orthopedic Spine Surgeon.

He grew up in Rockaway, New Jersey and received his medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine.  He went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at Jefferson Health NJ where he was named chief resident in his final year of training. Dr. Markowitz continued his training and completed his fellowship in spine surgery at the Texas Back Institute in Dallas Texas, there he learned from world renown experts in the field and honed his skills in motion preservation spine surgery. Dr. Markowitz has also co-written abstracts and peer-reviewed publications on the evolving nonoperative and operative management of spinal disorders.

Aside from his profession life, Dr. Markowitz enjoys playing soccer, martial arts, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. He is very dedicated to providing outstanding care to each of his patients and their families through personalized treatment plans that meet their individual goals.
